Endobiogeny returns to South Korea

For the second year in the row, the Korean Academy of Holistic Orthodontics invited Dr. Kamyar M. Hedayat to give a lecture about Endobiogeny. The topic was TMJ disorders: anxiety and spasmophilia. This is the first time this topic was presented from an Endobiogenic perspective. The audience was captivated by the lecture.

Special thanks to holistic dentist and long-time endobiogeny student Dr. Mona Moy and her Korean colleagues Drs. Helen, Jason and Justin who organized the conference. We enjoyed working with a varied group of holistic dentists, surgeons, osteopaths, Western medical and oriental medicine doctors.

Summary: Dr. Kamyar reviewed the theory of Endobiogeny and the bidirectional relationship between oral and systemic health. A new theory of TMJ dysfunction (TMD) was presented based on an integrated bio-psycho-physiological model. According to Dr. Hedayat, TMD is a spasmophilia disorder arising in anxious patients with dental malocclusions and/or postural issues. The liver, gallbladder and kidney are implicated with respect to the development of arthrosis and arthritis.

This 360 degree concept of TMD opens up new avenues of evaluation with the GEMMA bio system such as the anxiety panel levels 1 and 2, spasmophilia levels 1 and 2. It also opens up new avenues in treatment. Having all this in consideration, there are so many more treatment options available.

Dr. Hedayat’s conclusion is that TMD is a disorder best treated in a multidisciplinary way by the Endobiogenic physician, the holistic dentist and manual therapy such as craniosacral and physical therapy.

South Korea with its incredibly talented healers who are open to innovation left an indelible impression to Dr. Hedayat and is deeply grateful for this opportunity to bring Endobiogeny there.
