History of Endobiogeny

Endobiogeny was created by doctors for doctors. It began in 1972 when Dr. Christian Duraffourd asked one simple question: “Why did the patient I ‘cured’ with medication return with the same problem again?”

This led to a new theory of terrain—the inventory of all capacities and capabilities to adapt to stress and return to baseline. After a decade of collaborative work and experimentation in Paris, France, Dr. Duraffourd named his now completed model, “Endobiogeny” meaning, how the life (-bio) inside (-endo) is managed (-geny).

Endobiogeny has been taught in North and South America, Europe, the UK and North Africa for over 40 years, and is recognized as an official approach to clinical care in several countries. Join the thousands of doctors trained around the world in a return to what medicine once was and can be again.
